Surviving Minnesota!

Quote:
Thankfully I do not need to worry about going to work. LOL. My work lives here in this house and stares me in the face all the time (my husbands business for which I do the admin for.)

Its not light enough outside for me to see the river but judging by how high it has been in the past couple of weeks (then factor in that it just went down to about normal a short two weeks ago) I can imagine it is quite high.Thankfully it has never been high enough to flood the buildings -

If the weather isn't too wet this weekend I imagine the kyacks and canoes will be on the river and I hope they take the proper precautions. Just because it is flooded and moving faster doesn't mean it is a good time to be floating down that river.

I am seeing news reports of Maple Grove and other areas in the cities. I live about 25 miles north-west of Maple Grove. Closer to Ralphie.

Ivie the little one was great, as was Mom and Dad. We stayed way too long yesterday but we wanted to see the other two meet their sister. It was worth it. We did spend a couple hours babysitting so the other Grandmother could go see the baby too.

I am headed to Monticello shortly I hope to be there at 8 when Marties opens up.

I will get some pictures of the Pecking Dom rooster this morning Minnie, I have a picture from almost a month ago.

I have two others but they are not a lot better behaved, One could even be worse. I have carried him upside down, I have held him under my arm, I have held his head down. I have down everything short of pecking him back. I have done all the things I told Ivie to do with Tom.

Here is Judy's hand after he hit it:

As you can see he packs a good wallop. I did not have an actual picture of her wound so I had to get one off the internet that looked close to it.

I hate to have to crockpot my best rooster to make him more loving and tender.

My school has been canceled because it flooded. It is right by a little creek/river that runs through town.

Oh that's terrible!

Did the school itself get flooded or are they just being careful?

Change of plans not going to Monticello until later. Elk River first.

I just checked my trusty Official Menard's rain gauge and it is showing 4 inches, but that is a couple days worth as I had not dumped it after the last rain.

Morning . Hey Ralphie you tried every taming method except the one I suggested . I really was serious . Penned up alone they should respond to the thrill they get and tame down . If that does not work then nothing will .
