Surviving Minnesota!

Oh that's right. You watch two at a time to see if southern and English dialects are the same. Lol. I just like the freedom to hold it in my hand without hearing comment or direction personally. Why wouldn't you want to watch October/November commercials this year?!

I have a call out to the building inspector, waiting for a call back to schedule my final sign off. Hopefully Friday morning. I have 1 door knob to install and a couple pieces of garage door stop ( the rubbery but that deals against the garage door) tonight and I'm ready. I haven't had the outside cement poured yet and I'm debating just dumping some gravel on for the winter and doing it in the spring when we have other cement work happening with the house. Might save some money that way

That might be a good idea anyways, it would give the soil you disturbed a chance to "pack and settle" a little before putting concrete over it and may prevent some cracking of the concrete.

In my mite searches I came across this information. To determine the mite infestation you are dealing with, which will determine how aggressive you will be erradicating the little @#*% you may:

Spread their wing and blow on it. Count how many mites you blow off. If you blow off 5 then there are 100 to 300 left on the bird; 6 = 300 to 1,000; 7 = 1000 to 3,000; 8 = 5,000 to 10,000; and 9 = 10,000 to 32,000. This was from some university. WHO pays for these studies?

Because my mind is firmly made up and I want to be as closed minded as my ultra liberal College Professor Brother....

That is why we haven't done it yet, giving time to settle. Problem is I have had some erosion so I probably need to bring is some more gravel and build it back up.

Do you have a place to get "ground up asphalt" from old road jobs, It packs well to stop erosion yet will allow the soil to settle.

I would like to put it a couple hundred feet up my drive way however, I have not received enough in collections from you guys to pay for that.

Ivie Judy is OK, but extremely weak and fatigued. She sees the cardiologist next week and the gastrointestinal specialist Nov 2nd. Her Shingles seems to be not spreading.

She has a lot going bad still but is in better spirits than she was a week ago. Hopefully she will be on the mend. She is lamenting not being able to visit the grandkids and her Mother (who happens to be in hospital now). She knows she has to be careful about who she visits. The other day a high school friend of hers was here they sat outside so as to limit the friends exposure to any "germs" in our house.

We try to keep it disinfected and are constantly cleaning and doing laundry, but you never know. I think it is safe as I have not had any problems but you never know with that stuff.

Or it could just be I am a picture of health and fitness...

Marathon chatters! I'm trying to squeeze a trip to hutch in my weekend festivities. Won't know for certain until hubby returns on Thursday. And the mere fact that there is still corn standing in the fields.

Klop, it has been my experience in life that females create a lot of work for us men folk. You are the beneficiary of some of that it seems. I think that the Scandinavian females are most dedicated to that. Thank goodness I had the foresight to marry a Polish/French Canadian female. I tell my wife that French Canadian is the result of the Frenchmen consorting with the Native Canadian population.

Ralphie, there will be no chicken hugging going on here. This is serious business which will not be turned into any yuppie foo foo adventure. I will hug the dogs however, as they are truly lovable creatures that treat you with respect and love even when sharing their dog house.
