Surviving Minnesota!

Look into coconut oil. There are a lot of benefits but even some claims to reversing Alzheimer's. Preventative measures may reduce the chances of it developing. Coconut oil is good for everyone!

I love and use coconut oil. I use it sometimes in baked goodies where DH cannot taste it :) One of these days I'm going to try bullet proof coffee, just with CO and butter.

I just skimmed the "causes" and stopped. It is too depressing for me.

My Dad died of secondary complications to Parkinson's which has its own dementia with it. It has the same causes. We suspect farm chemicals/pesticides to be a cause. When I grew up, way back in the 50's we used a ton of pesticides,\. The safety equipment/gear was non-existent.

Every time I forget where I put my keys, I stumble or feel a little vertigo, I worry I am getting Parkinson or Alzheimer's. What will be will be, but I am not going to over worry it, if I can. I know what you are going through. BTW if I was to get it I would try any cure Mexico or Europe has to offer. Whether our FDA says it is legal, helpful or not. I do not want to live and die the way my Dad did. It was terrible, He died 8 years before his body stopped functioning.

Sorry to throw a bummer on everyone's morning, I know what you are going through. Try to live for the day and not let it get you down. I know easier said than done. I pray he does not get it.

Note I grew up in the 50's proving I am way older than you,,,,

I'm not overly worried. Sorry if I was the one to throw a bummer on the morning!

I try and get him to eat better (less sugar) but he is addicted and when he goes to Menards he comes home with bags and bags of sweets :) I can cook a nice meal but he might say I'm hungry for pizza (frozen) or corn dogs

frozen...

But he's a grown up, physically anyway! LOL and can and will eat whatever he wants.

That's on Menards! They place those thing right where you will see them. I have found I need to eat before going to Menard's like I do before I go to a grocery store. It's a shame to have to do that but going on an empty stomach will end up with a cupboard full of junk food.

That said Menard's has some good food too. I like the cheap ribs they have.

I butter bread with Coconut oil for Grilled cheese instead of butter. Use it to fry eggs I put some in my hot chocolate. It helps with energy levels and all. It really doesn't taste coconutty, just a sweetness but not sugar sweet. I don't know. My family puts up with it! Plus it is a really good skin moisturizer that we use all the time instead of lotions. Has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties too.

I eat a teaspoon or so every morning, I give it to my dog she loves it. I also use it as a moisturizer. I have cooked eggs with it but DH won't go for it. I give the chickens some with their oatmeal if I make it for them on chilly mornings. I'll try the other ways you mentioned! TY
