Surviving Minnesota!

All this talk about coconut oil makes me nervous. If my wife dies mysteriously the first thing they will check is did I somehow cause her to consume coconut oil. Some people are allergic to some of these food stuffs. Have you ever noticed what is on the labels of food items these days? This may contain, and the list goes on and on. The food companies, candy companies and etc. do not want to be sued so they are overly cautious it seems?
Many people are allergic to nuts and coconuts are a nut whereas peanuts are not a nut. I wonder what the chickens may be allergic to?

It is getting brighter outside, so I best go back out and do something productive.

Ralphie, if anyone comes to this thread as a first time visitor and see the recent images they are going to wonder what the Hadies goes on here.

I butter bread with Coconut oil for Grilled cheese instead of butter. Use it to fry eggs I put some in my hot chocolate. It helps with energy levels and all. It really doesn't taste coconutty, just a sweetness but not sugar sweet. I don't know. My family puts up with it! Plus it is a really good skin moisturizer that we use all the time instead of lotions. Has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties too.

I know many people who swear by coconut oil and use it for just about everything. I'm not a huge fan of coconut, but I use honey religiously. Just last night I warmed up some whiskey and honey. DH was thinking alcoholic, I was thinking congestion reliever.

I know as the birds get close to molt and their feathers fade, those blues will look a dusky brown, almost chocolate, the POOF, they pop those pretty blue feathers out fresh.

My blues get heavily sun faded, too. They turn brown which is what I think happened with those ducks.

One of my female peacocks flew the coop last night and I found her outside this morning chasing chickens. They're such weird little things. Very curious birds - I just had to tap a cup to get her back into her enclosure.

They make me feel like Snow White or the Pied Piper. Down the Hill. ....Up the Hill. On my heels.

Patsy in the front there is stealing my heart.

And then my Boy... With the Buckeye feeling quite fan-girl about him lately too. Since they've resolved their food dish differences.

I feel the need to take lots of photos before the comb and wattles get beat up.

I am not seeing those little thumbnail pictures anymore, I thought BYC removed them. Do you still see them? Did I change my settings?

How do I get them back?

Erlibrd I am guessing it is best I not use CO. I look so young now people think I am in my early 20's. If I used CO I would not be able to by Mikes or Henry's.

It is a burden I live with...

Ivie Maybe I should have said I got larger in the 50's and 60's.

Any are safe if cooked . The outdoor cookers are great for this . Muskrat is very tasty for humans or animals . My hounds used to eat these raw . That was before I got educated to the dangers . Gutting helps reduce the gross factor .

I even cook fish guts for dog and chicken feed . Never cook Asian carp whole for feed . The alge they eat is gross . Gut those first . Don't ask how I know .

Ok I got a story but first let me say I am fine . Fell off the roof early today . Knocked me out for about 5 minutes I was told . Scrambled my thinking a bit . Wife took me to the ER . Checked out ok . Nothing broken just a couple of head bumps . MRI found a small blood spot in my head . I asked her what happened and she said you fell off the roof . I said what was I doing up there ? I could not remember I was roofing for a few minutes . So I am resting the rest of the day . I think I will tie off with a rope tomorrow . I did this before . Just seemed to have good traction today but not in that spot . Went to the Chiropractor for some massage to relax some muscles . Ate a late lunch at the Chinese buffet . Told my wife my fortune cookie said you take short trip .
