Surviving Minnesota!

Whaaat...no lapper classes Ralphie? As cuddly as my SS are, I find my lappers much more useful. Lap warmers, hand warmers, mosquito eaters and all round inspector generals!

These guys are not ready for Turkeys yet. They still think birds belong outdoors.

Memphis that bird is too much. Love her...

Well I'm glad to say Jerry's livestock have now recognized me as the food lady. Good enough. ;) I must admit the last few birds although pampered in general needs: dry clean bedding, food, water, coopage, free ranging, and flock blocks at Christmas have not been as cuddled as the first flock from 4 years ago. Having them flighty now I realize is a good survival skill in this neck of the woods. See? Jerry, you know what you're doing! Lol. Cuddle classes would be fun though...

Good morning all! We survived the holidays here. The rain sucked then the cold and wind.... we have an insane amount of ice here. Driving down the lane is like driving across a plowed field.

In other news, @duluthralphie looks like I have at least 2 blue green egg layers. We have been getting them regularly then we got 2 in one day this weekend. Our customers are enjoying them. Adds some variety to the carton.

Speaking of Cuddle-able, Erlibrd are those 3 you got from me cuddly yet? Or still a tad stand offish?

(I do not cuddle most of my birds, just not enough hours in a day)

No they aren't into cuddling they still think I'm a bully for taking them from their home. I would spend more time sitting on the ground giving treats if the weather was nice.
I just have 1 that wants to be held, and only when she wants to be held.

Severe under-estimation for the roads. Ours in close vicinity aren't too bad. However as we got closer to Crosby, south of Emily in particular we came upon the last miles of horrible black ice-- thick and stuck in place. Because DH had Ni-night juice flowing through his veins I had the pleasure of driving those roads and he had the pleasure of me laying out the faults in his healthcare screening timings and how he can get one of his buddies to drive him down next time. If it falls anywhere between December-March. That way our children are ensured at least one surviving parent!
They should have given me some of the Ni-night juice... Just a little.
