Surviving Minnesota!

How about some ideas to stop it?

The only time I had that problem I culled the bird. But I am sure you don't want to do that! Maybe a golf ball? Or wooden egg? Or put a shock collar on them and every time they go to eat an egg you shock them

I have golf balls and ceramic eggs in there now, she seems to know the difference. If I have to I will try trimming the beak. I have never done that, I want to show her again, but I want her babies more.

Or i can get a black cockerel and black pullet for now and wait until he has a splash pullet to get one along with probably a splash cockerel

Hmmm idk what else to tell ya Ralphie... I hope they stop. They aren't lacking anything are they? Like feed wise?

Nope not yet. The leakage wouldn't show up in blacks. I think I'm going to go with a Black cockerel and pullet for now so I can get some good blues out of Gary and april

Red leakage shows up in my cockerels? Not Cochins but still? Why would it not show up in the blacks?
