Surviving Minnesota!

I had a good week for eggs!

I have 119 to be set in the next couple minutes they are washed and disinfected, just waiting for them to dry now.

I have

43 legbars
11 doms
4 polish
7 pc
2 SS
8 Cuckoo Maran
11- toad
14 yokohama.

4 turkey...

I have yet to gather eggs today and I sold 3 dozen this morning and have another 3 to sell. The week was way better than I thought.

I think I am done setting Toad eggs unless someone here wants some toads or their eggs. I have enough toads to keep them alive for another year. I hope.

I want some toads or toad eggs! Maybe when we get closer to coming down that way you can collect more for me? I think I may be coming down the first weekend in March. My sister and I may be taking all of our kids to the Cities for a long weekend of fun. I'd rather have eggs. Gives me 3 weeks to hatch them out and get ready for babies and hopefully warmer weather.

Good morning chicken egg collectors ( I hope)! Time to make the donuts.

I want to sleep in but I have 10 chooks banging on the pop door I'm sure.

Yesterday was a clean sweep against Swanville at home for BB. JV and varsity.

Today another batch of soap, finish my second wool sock ( knitting), coffee Sunday for girl gossip. And more Homeland episodes (DH and I are binging)

Ok. For TV bugs. Has any body tried the internet TV box? Can find it on Amazon for $50? It's called the Ott TV box...? Well anyways it has all the episodes of about every series. The latest movies. I feel like we hit the jackpot and might be able to get rid of satelite tv bill! Or highly reduce it! Any ways if you pay too much for tv I recommend this.

Well off to do chicken chores. Weather is a bit cooler yet again.

Holms: careful with your cow.

And count blessings to all those that have grandparents and those that remember them well.
Mine died as a 6, 12, 17 and 20 year old. I h loved them but did not get them in my adult advice seeking years. I grabbed onto DH's grandma when we married. Loved her. But she was gone before the babies turned one. Time is too short for sure.

I just set up our Fire TV box and put Kodi on it. Then installed a build. YouTube was my friend for all of that because I still don't really know what it all means BUT it does work! We can watch just about everything from live TV, TV shows, Movies Past, present, and some future. Like we can watch movies that are still in the theater. Something about them being released in other countries so someone somewhere has the ability to figure out how to pull them out of internet air and stream them to my TV through this "build". It is pretty cool. I can help no more than to say YouTube it.

Windy here today! I only got 4 eggs so I just put them in the basket and left them in the coop, no point in taking them.
Any of you heard the rumor of the "Snow Storm You Will Never Forget" that's supposed to happen at the ned of February. Maybe it's just SW ND that's supposed to get it. I want chicks before then cause if it's anything like the blizzard of '66 I would have to wait pretty long after this storm rolls throufh

Interested in all the TV options . I need to do something at the lake this year . I will probably not watch much but DW will .

Morning all....

Just give me some lead time and I will try to get them for you, Toad eggs are semi-precious as I only get 1-2 a day most days. I do not think all the pullets have started laying. I know Bertha gives me 5ish a week.

I have the curtest Little Toad. There was a chick that had pipped and I thought her membrane was shrink wrapping so I took the top off the egg. The chick was not ready to hatch, but in my defense the membrane was drying. I set the egg back in the cartoon and walked away figuring it would die. 36 hours later I was going to throw the egg out and I saw movement, so I finished hatching it. It is still alive.

But it is the smallest chick I have it is about the same size as the yokohama chicks. I have no idea what I will do with it. I hope it survives but I have my doubt. I hate to see it die though, I have (knocking on wood) not had a chick die yet this year.

I have some cat food that looks kind of like hamburger so yesterday I thought I would see which birds in the barn would eat from my hand. (yea, I was sloughing off and had extra time). I found I only have 4 birds that will eat from my hand. The two egg eating Doms, one Maran and Bert.

I am guessing you are stuck with Satellite.... What do you have down there in the tropics? If you have satellite you can just bring a receiver with you up here and it will work. I have extra antenna (dishes) if you need some for both companies, you might need to either get another ULB or bring one with. I have some of them too but I am not sure if they would be compatible to your system. They change that now and then to stop people like me.

I think it should be illegal to just say "good morning" I want chit chat to read...
