Ralphie, 500 to 700 keets is a lot. Are they all Pearl Grey? I am surprised that you hatch that many.

95% are pearl Greys, I have one off white thingy and one purplish one. They are just gangster quality and not show birds at all.

@ejb3810 Pocahontas is my barred rock from my 2013 order. She is a free loader. I doubt she ever lays an egg anymore. She did last summer, but I have not seen her egg in a while now. (boy she is getting old) She has never been a College Professor and her voice is more pleasant ...... However, she does think she needs more stuff given to her for free all the time...

......I think my chickens are all going b@tsh*t crazy. The hens are noisy as all heck; no one is laying like they should (haha....hahah...like they ever do???) and today Rooster Elvis flogged my DH. Then tried to take me. Then again this afternoon. So I broke a bucket throwing it at him. Noooo....I do not have any anger management issues. And for the record I did hit my mark. Twice

Is it just the ridiculous spring weather and they are all coo-coo??? Any one else's birds being naughty?

My chickens have yet to be mean at all. So they are behaving except that that my great layers are either nor laying or are eating all their eggs. At least most of them. Time to get out the deer camera to see what's going on in there.

My girls are being naughty too.... They've taken up biting me if I don't feed them quickly enough. Three red marks on my leg today...
