Surviving Minnesota!

Nice cows Holm.

Making an egg and some bacon so I can stock up on protein for tomorrow so I don't die while I'm sick...

Holms those are some beautiful cows. You could put a marble on its back and it would sit perfectly still. Awesome!

Thanks! I think my favorite is the tan cow and the old spot cow. Those Char influenced cattle really smash the pounds on their calves!

Quote: Nope, not becker, and they didn't bust anyone that I know of... waiting.

Sick with a fever. Got home from am easy lifting practice and parents teacher conferences. Took a 1/2 hour nap and now it's time to go out and do chores

Let the Orps put in the coop for almost an hour yesterday. Had to put up a fence around the door though... This guy really enjoys fighting for some odd reason... Maybe it's all the energy he had to burn?

Okay, okay, okay. Tractor Supply Co had this little coop and run available for a couple hundred. The reviews were all good. I bought it. My reasoning: Regina is beat up on by the other hens - no lie. And I do not want her in the coop with 'Copper', the new boy on the block. Plus IF I am going to get any eggs from her I need to reduce her stress. And then hopefully Reggie will do his job and fertilize her eggs.
That is reason no. 1 - for Regina.

Regina, Elsa and Betty White (both are CW and Betty has a more grey neck and since Betty White kind of has a dirty-little mind I named her BW) are all small birds so they will each go into this new coop. Then the BO, who are so tame and gentle, will join the other three birds and Reggie will rule this roost.

Doesn't all that sound reasonable? I mean, I don't want to sound as if I am loosing my mind over chickens.

I HAVE TO redesign and replant (divide down and move) my gardens now so they will last til I die - I am going to incorporate this coop and run into the design work to incorporate it as lawn art. I would spend that much on a fountain for the yard. Its not like I do this every year. I think I will just be quiet and as soon as he goes up to Aitkin I will put it together. Besides, he spent more than that for a shed that will sit over the well pump in Aitkin. I am worth it. Lets see . . . . any arguments I am missing?  This is a Ralphie.

You pulled a Ralphie! I think you have got a good plan for it and it sounds like a necessary addition! Now you just need to find some birds to fill in the space of the birds going into the new coop!
