Another calf is on the way!
How fun!

Ralphie, Minnesotanice and Ivie thank you. I actually happen to love his parents and all of there other kids just not him. They actually have a son who is probably around 12 and loves poultry and loves picking my brain and so does his dad. His dad always texts and asks questions along with the son. The oldest and I have never gotten along but one day I put my foot down when he made a comment on his grandmother (I love his grandparents and get along with them really well) and we really don't get along now. I just avoid him and he avoids me. He has never done this to their bords or anything even though he dislikes them. I think it's just his pure hatred for me that caused this. If I asked him about it he would lie about it like he does everything... We already made it clear he will not be here whenever i have eggs hatching. Other than those I have nothing here he can destroy.
I hate to say it, but he may not stop at just eggs, sounds like he hates you because he is jealous, jealous cause his dad texts you and enjoys talking chickens which he doesn't like, he may do terrible things to get his dad's attention... I would never let him alone on the property. If it was me, I'd ask the parents not to have them over again, they can go to his home.

I am giving the white one to a relative for her Bday. I think the white one is a NN×Maran×Icelandic.

All of the roosters except the Icelandic and Svart Hona×Isbar lost their comb this winter. They will still make good breeders though.
And all the hens are beat up because they were with a LOT of roosters.

Is the lake access on his property? Sounds like your typical "this is my land: no tresspassing" d-bag. I hope he understands the concept of lake access. Sad about the blackberries. I'd consider myself lucky to have those growing so close.

we live on a small development. Sort of like a big horse shoe of a road. There are 12 buildable lots that have shared lake access lot. It's actually quite nice. We've got a little elbow room here, reduced taxes because we're not right on the lake but still lake access a short distance away. We are the only place that stay here as a main home. Everybody else is a 'cabin'. Their homes are suburb or cities. So DH leaves gate open quite a lot for us to get to the ice or boat. This year with his knee and unpredictable ice and BB season he didn't put out a fish house. But gate left open as our lot is one of two ways to get an ice house or boat launched on the whole lake. DH has let a couple buddies access. Now the neighbors think we let Everybody use it...which may have inadvertently happened outside our knowledge. So because we are local all the neighbors hate us for letting other people use it. I myself have warned DH about being overly generous. And he's went so far as putting new lock and passing keys to all neighbors to rectify some of this a few years back. But they still yap behind our backs obviously. Some kid in the neighborhood pulled his shanty off there and has left it in the lot because the gate was locked. DH took a heated call from a loop neighbor. So I think we're done being generous to friends who keep the ice road open with their plows and gas for a little access. Some people don't think outside the box. Nonetheless it's a private association access lot and we're trying to be more thoughtful of the neighbors who have lots here. I've told DH he needs to just be that way, I guess.

Hopefully you can work this out. Neighbors are always a pita.

Good Plan Holm. And good for having a plan.
