Ivie I am sorry to hear about your neighbors... That's terrible... 10 years old? That's just terrible... I do t know them but will definetly have them in my prayers.

Have another calf... up to 8 I think... Idek anymore... Had a huge Red Bull calf. Probably 100lbs+? Gonna weigh him tomorrow but all I can say is that this is the biggest calf we have ever had.

Gonna go bull shopping here soon. The bull that was "homozygous black" turned out to be heterozygous. So he carries a black and red gene. Don't want red calves... But the good thing is we will be keeping any heifers who make the cut this fall! Should have some good ones to choose from!

Get more for black cattle at the sales barn than you do red. And we want to bring in groups of calves that are all the same color. Bringing in a mixed group of red and black calves is going to get your price docked.
