Surviving Minnesota!

BC do your wild plums sucker ? I have been on the Growing fruit forum a lot today . It seems the wild Canadian plum prunus Nigra does not sucker while the American and Chickasaw do sucker and form thickets . You could possible have any of the 3 species .

That long? I kick mine to the coop at 4-5 weeks if that long!

Mine are out by four... Unless there's only 2-3 birds, then I keep 'em in a bit longer cos I like having house birds.

If you go to Wadena on the 15th you will have a chance to bid on my Guineas, thereby tripling your flock!

Holm... Don't go.... It's a trap!! He won't let you away without them.

The Pollacks don't see eagles as well as I would love them too.  I'm not into feeding birds that are bait.

My rationale is that it keeps the good birds safe.

The plum out crops that' I've seen are on one stem. No bushiness at the bottom.
But I will say that we have one heck of a deer herd that may help keep the suckers down...? But from what I've seen I don't think I've even seen a trace of suckers on them....

Hmmmm.... Since I did t get the incubator (long story) I have about $700 extra dollars to burn lol. I might have to come and see what people have there. May e someone will bring some of those Royal Purple Guineas...
That not those..... One ,,the only one I have, I think I will put it with the white or lavender or cream r whatever color that one is.. they can have a bidding war over the stupid birds.
