Morning . Lots of rain yesterday 3 inches is my estimate . Parts of the yard looks like a lake . Still raining . So no outdoor work today . Guess I will go for coffee later and get the local weather scoop .

Morning all..

I think my Iphone lied to me. It said it would be a nice day. It looks like rain and yucky snow coming from the Southwest..

I guess I will have to find something to do indoors. I could just work in the barn, which is what I do most days anyways,,

Nothing new, except Heidi has taken to sitting on my head while I type. I am forced to wear an anti-poop in the hair device. AKA stocking cap while giving her the quality time she needs.

Judy is becoming a tad unreasonable about Heidi's living in the house. I suppose I will have to move her outside. Maybe even today. Not sure how to break the news to Heidi that she has to go live with the chickens.



I saw online a lot of morels were found yesterday in this area. My mistake I worked here instead of looking, I might go today if the temps are halfway decent for it.

Hi Ralphie - it would be funny - I think - if you could find ONE chicken diaper and put it on Heidi for such a time when Judy is present. Do not say a word about it and see when Judy notices (which will be right away), have the camera ready to snap - and then intro Heidi to the outdoors after you til Judy you just ordered a box of diapers and when they are gone you will send her out. She will ALWAYS be your special chick now Ralphie. A heart breaker.

Next comes nice weather and you will never be inside for three months. Just think of all the indoor work that will need to be done then. Unless you are ONE OF THOSE CHICKENERS who keeps it all organized and caught up each and every day. That is not me

OR you could be a man chickener with a partner that keeps all the indoor stuff done while you play outside.

Even my car, a lincoln, which is not an appropriate car for me to be driving because I haul stuff in it all the time. Vacuumed it yesterday. Need to clean the leather as the dogs were pretty dirty last week when I left Aitkin because of the class V sand for the building site. Tried to dry them off before they got in the car but that did not work. Frisky little things.

Ralphie, the stocking cap as a means to allow a chick to sit on your head and defecate has me concerned. I am seriously thinking about calling Jerry and requesting that he travel to Minnesota early, as I think a serious intervention may be in order !!
I suspect that Judy would be very willing to assist in setting up a surprise meeting ?!

Well word is 4.1 inches of rain yesterday . Some roads washed out . 5 inches last 3 day total . More coming . Oh yes skeeters are thick . Not biting yet .

Lots of standing water to raise more skeeters .
