Ralphie, the race is released from Rosemount today and is the shortest race on our race schedule. There are only 5 of us flying this week. The shortest distance is 90.897 miles to our member in Brook Park, and I am longest at 146.383 miles. Next longest to me is our member in Minong,Wi at 114.775 miles. As you can see my birds have a tough row to hoe. The conditions are good, but we have a N wind all along the race course and that puts my birds at a disadvantage as well.
I sent only two birds to compete against 103 others so wish them luck !!

The black and lav are from the same matings . 2 pens . One pen throws more blacks as the hens are black split for lav . Roosters are lav cuckoo and one or both are single barred . So sexing is iffy . I can for sure spot double barred cockerels .Seems like a lot are not barred but single barred can also look that way . The striped ones are silver bantam .

Well they all look amazing. Very neat.

Ed good luck with your Race today. Those pigeons have to be tougher than most!!! Right? LOL. Living on the North Shore and all.

Ivie: Have a great day. I know you'll do some fun things outside or crafty today. You're always busy girl.

Ralphie is Judy feeling better?

happy chickening all!

More questions..

You're not there when the birds are released?

When do you expect your birds to get home?

Are they handicapped in some way, like golfers or bowlers are?

And fly little birdies fly!! Get home fast!

Having morels for lunch . Found 3 plus 3 from the other day . About over here . Forrest floor is turning green . So harder to see them .

Yes I get a rewind . Fall is the same I get to see the peak colors up there then come home to see it all happen again . My two favorite times .
