Surviving Minnesota!

Princess is gorgeous. Even flat as a pancake.

Yay! I have hayed my lawn yesterday. JD is back ! If I could say anything positive about it all is that my lawn has been reseeded.

Coop was cleaned out. Nest boxes freshened up.. caterpillars swept off. Windows washed of chicken spittle and dust.

Continuing to have a big full schedule driving teenagers to jobs. I hear things will be easier when they get their licenses. :fl

Princess is gorgeous but Ralphie gets all the credit.

@Bogtown Chick ... I hate to break it to ya but it NEVER gets any easier. ou just trade one worry for another and one chore for another.... my daughter is 33 and my son 26 and STILL I am cleaning up messes (metaphorically speaking) and they live in other states!!! But they gave me beautiful grandchildren so I tolerate them ;)

@I Love Layers I am doing a rain chant for you...let me know when it works!!:D

so can anybody tell me how to get all these notification emails to STOP????? I have UNCHECKED every thing I need to uncheck and still they crowd my email account???

Siggie I am looking forward to retirement.... But the thing is my bod may not be any good for anything at that point. Time to take better care of it I guess.

It seems like lots of folks getting more emails from byc then they care for. Did you click "save" after you unchecked everything? Maybe...? Maybe...? IDK...I need to look at what I did. I think i did it right because I'm not inundated, here.

We are getting some clouds coming in. Kind of dusty mowing last night so some rain isn't a bad thing now I think.

STILL have not weeded flower gardens or cleared my retaining wall for a veggie garden. At this rate I'll be lucky to get a bean or two or radishes for that matter. LOL. I do have some lettuce planted in a bowl...and some basil (3 kinds in a basil bowl)
I have some flowers in...but need a few and the tomato plants for the deck. Need those too.

Ralphie, I hope the turkey situation turns out better than anticipated. What about the wild turkeys which may intermingle with free range birds ? Are they not a potential problem which the government should eradicate to benefit the big operators ?

I did mention the Hussy Wild hen that was trying to corrupt my boys. She was sympathetic to the situation, and agreed it vacuumed, a potential disease carrier that should be eliminated, bu to eliminate it would be a huge fine, confiscation of a firearm and loss of hunting privileges. She had no idea what to do either.

I suppose SSS would work, but very risky with one of them.
