Surviving Minnesota!

I would take it back, but I do not have a quarantine area right now because of all the showbirds using every cage I have. NPIP also demands they be 5 months old and tested before I can bring them back as I recall...

But you can always stop and say Hi on Thursday, I think the WWD is off then too. If someone around here wants it you can sure use this as a pick up place.

If I was going to keep it that long -which I cant, I'd just eat it myself.

It will help with your potty mouth too......The other city slickers will appreciate it.
Who told you I have a potty mouth

Good morning folks. My young welsummer cockerel is testing the waters. He’s very busy boy. He’s all ramped up just this last week. He’s the last of my rooster excess baggage from this spring. He was just sort of floating along there with the NH pullet but I see now he’s starting to pick up his activity, overall a nice boy... just a little randy as his hormones are working now.
The littles are in the coop that Jerry brought the last run north. I figure they are big enough now.
Cuties.
And the welsummer hen finally dropped her feathers. She should have nice new feathers for winter— just in time. The flock is on flock raiser now instead of layer feed. If I read right higher protein and no calcium needed right now anyways. Threw Patsy Kline a can of tuna fish yesterday though. Give her a push along. Kitty the ex broody has been hanging at the coop. Her molt a bit more severe. But she looks to be coming along now. The lavender is lavender again. Lol. Amazing the color loss over those 18 month old feathers.
Starting to go through the feed now as the birds lose their bugs and frogs to cooler temps. Too bad they didn’t like the Asian beetles. MNchickMom can be thanked as she harvests her Soybeans and sends those beetles out of the fields. Lol. They are thick.
Well sunshine today. DH and DS coming in from NW Dakota. With their flying liver no doubt. DD riding horse. And I’ve been called up to Mom and Dads today again.

Morning Peeps!

Some of my new birds. They're slow to warm up but real cute. There's a rooster too but he refused to pose for this picture.
Beautiful!

I lost two cockerels tonight. Two BIG FAT cockerels I have been fattening up to eat myself.
:( so sorry!

Sewing machines. Ralphie you do surprise me. I too have been fascinated by the mechanics of it. Intricate machined works of art they are. I was bequeathed a 1950’s husqvarna in its turquoise splendor from mil. It was her mother’s. Mil does not sew so I got it. It’s heavy. It’s solid . It came with the desk. Book. Feet . Tools. Case with bake-a-lite handle.

That is a fantastic machine! gorgeous!

Going to try and get some winterizing done today, suppose to be nice. I hope to get a lot done, time to get out there again!
Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone!
Ralphie sorry to hear about the birds

Yesterday we left for Bottineau to go so my oldest siser up there, so drove 4 hours, spent about 6 hours up socializing, slept 8 hours, were up about 2 hours this morning before we left and we are now almost done with the 4 hour drive home.
On the way home we drove past an Elk Farm, that was pretty cool.

When I get home I have to call Rick again, I don't think my phone was leaving messages so I am going to call with someone elses
