I should be close to Hutch today, BUT I decided to not go help set up. I have so much to do here before the snow hits Friday, I can't afford the time...

BUT I am feeling guilty about not helping so that is something.

I need things to read...... I hate the idea of actually having to do something constructive so early in the day.

With the leaves all down and winter breathing down my neck I decided to clean out my run. Dusty powdery bleh stuff. I need to haul out a few more wheel barrows of that stuff and get the leaves in there. Cut some tall grasses that are free in the ditch. Get some sand and new ashes in the dusting tub.
While I was doing this haul out last night junior was giving the predator call. Sadie had zoomed them but he kept on. Bock bocking away. I took off my stocking cap that was keeping wind out of my ears and he stopped. They are such ditz’s Sometimes.

You need a turkey. A hat will keep them entertained and afraid for a whole day. Hats can be scary!

I wore a new jacket this morning... nice bright red 'cos hunting season.... they all treated me like I was a stranger. Dumb birds, it's still me.

Morning . I did not get on here before going to coffee . Maybe I can work outside today . Cold and cloudy but possible sun in the afternoon . Chatty bunch last night .

Only open to Minnesotans. Otherwise Shawluvsbirds could be a contender as a US Citizen. However, I think it should be amended to say IF a chickener is a bonified Minnesota visitor that, while visiting, they are contender in this contest. It is only a proposal at this time open to opinions and then a vote.
