Yes it was nice walking down to the coop this morning. Birds are in the yard eating greens while they can. I hope we are on the edge of things with only an inch or two. Not the 3-5. Please. Please. Looks like we'll have some temps going up and down though to melt it. I would like a nice extended fall with snow for Christmas. That's all. LOL. I always like my birds out of the run so that's my reasoning. Ever since chickens I'm for extended non-snow seasons.

Did you want to ride to Hutch with all of us? Judy is going Saturday sometime for a few hours. She is not going to the banquet.

I just realized I'm driving through Hutch on Saturday on the way to a little gals/kids gathering. You think my friend and all the kids want to stop and look at chickens on the way? Heh

Absouletly they do! The kids will LOVE IT! and your friend will be amazed if they don't know (What? I don't know yet either ) about these going ons

So I am starving, just came in from doing a couple hours of leaf gathering - threw them in the garden and then coop insulating. Got my first Wyandotte egg. The RIR, Ruby, in the small coop laid for the past two days an a BO is starting to lay again.

I have a house bird (overnight) again. Erlibrd was here and the Little Naked guy came to spend the night. She already left... BUT it is really turning cold and nasty outside.. I have not bee out in 2 hours..
It is way worse than it was then.
