Surviving Minnesota!

eh, don't bother. It probably wouldn't work, coop isn't really big enough for more critters. thanks tho.
Bummer. They really are the sweetest things. Even the non-animal loving bill payer in the family gets a chuckle out of them. I even caught him talking to them a few times ;)
What everyone here gets a kick out of is that they just have an enthusiasm for everything. Fresh water makes them overjoyed and every bug they chase is a thrill. New things are inspected thoroughly with much chatter among themselves and sometimes they just do doughnuts in the grass for the fun of it. You know the brief stage in pullets where they are just happy to be alive? Ducks have that for their whole lives.

Ralphie says webbed creatures are evil. Ralphie has only had geese. Even I agree that geese are evil... nasty beasts.

Also, if you don't want to be a slave to hauling water for half the year, don't get more than a few, ever. I have no idea how I ended up with nine and frankly I'm not looking forward to the next half year

Anyway, that's my spiel on ducks for the day... lol... I agree they're much better suited to southern locations.

Hmarg if your Buckeyes wimp out I will be surprised. They are the most winter hardy breed I have ever had. I never was going to get them until Minnie convinced me to get them over the New Hampshire. And can I say I am SO happy I did. They are still my favorite breed out of the seven breeds we have here. They are thundering giants!

Ralphie is there any way to get a Buckeye Cockerel to you without getting my NPIP? I'm not really where I want to be yet before going through all that.

Ralphie I believe the cats came with a 30 day warranty:hmm If I remember correctly you received these cats almost a year ago? Or it will be a year the end of January:D I can't take them back but I can get you more:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau
