She really said that? Where?I see our hobby was attacked by one of its own over the weekend. "The Chicken Chick" (joke) let people know her opinion on Poultry shows and te people that show saying that we allow our birds to go to chess pools of disease and bring them hone sick and distressed and that we don't care... All of this after speaking at the Poultry Congress over the weekend... Many people are not happy with her and all of her false information.... Just confused as to how she can claim to support the hobby when she bashes the people that are trying to improve te breeds...
There is my rant for the day and sorry if I offend anyone...
Go to her Facebook page and watch her livestream from yesterdayShe really said that? Where?
No surprise there. A show isn't a good place to go on an anti-show spiel. The people at the show had nothing good to say about her
Well, can't fault her for being a biosecurity nut, but I would take issue if she said we don't care if our birds get sick and that we shouldn't show. This is just a bit of what she said
•When someone asked if she brought a trailer to bring everything home she replied "No way not brining all of this disease home. Guys this is, this is like hazardous, and I just can't even imagine, all of the cooties in this room."
•Another reply of hers "We are going to take our clothes off and burn them in a bonfire before we go into our chicken yard."
•Another reply of hers saying what she is doing before going to her chicken yard "take a shower, a gasoline shower"
I can appreciate that many are busy with chores during this heat spell and don't have much time to post. Ralphie has a double whammy in the chore area and being busy running a political campaign. Once a politician, a persons time is so valuable there is little time for the common folks. Regardless of what most of them would have us believe.
I can see her reasoning but it was downright rude to say that about a show that she was invited to speak at. I could see if she said "We are going to wash our clothes and take showers, and clean our shoes before going into our chicken yard." But she went way overboard, there was no reason to make comments like that...Well, can't fault her for being a biosecurity nut, but I would take issue if she said we don't care if our birds get sick and that we shouldn't show.
