My job now. Go sit in the corner with your broken cats.HEY! That's my job!
I am gonna toss a cat in there with some food and water. I'm just worried he will harass my birds lol.Maybe you need a cat door into the area.
One thing I do not have in my feed, barn or coops are rodents. I feed the indoor free range chicks from my Oct hatch on the floor and no mouse is brave enough to enter the barn for even a taste.
I see the cats patrolling all my buildings look for rodents I assume. Once in a while I see them with them, but that is mainly when they are coming from the woods or neighbors.
Knowing the quality of the cats I got from that used cat saleman, my cats could be importing rodents though.

Neither have I. I'm just worried with the cats being in there locked up with birds like my Silkies or Cornish.I have not had a problem (knock on wood) with the cats chasing or attacking the birds.
Hate to get down to business what with all the meowing going on
If you pull eggs out of the coop that are already cold but not frozen, do you put them right in the fridge or can they be left out on the counter where it's generally warmer?
My ladies are doing pretty good considering they didn't start laying until the middle of January, 3 hens totaling about 3 eggs every 2 days. And the rooster must have gotten lazy because after the first 2 eggs the next several did not appear to be fertilized.
I do both. I don't see why it would matter.Hate to get down to business what with all the meowing going on
