Question for you guys. If I’m feeding a gamebird feed with oyster shell to m breeders do I really need to mix layerwith my feed?


What to you guys feed?

I whole heartedly agree with the frozen egg thing....We are getting frozen eggs too. It may have to do with the fact that we only pick twice a day.

Last night I bought 6 bags of feed, (3 of which were chick start) and the feed store manager asks my 13 year old daughter, "Are you crazy for hatching in this temperature?" She responds, "Watch who you call crazy, I am the one who endorsed Heims Feeds at the Poultry 101 class we offered to the Benton County Community." Feed store manager responds, "I stand corrected, make sure you send me information about the 4H Livestock Auction, we need more dedicated youth like you."

We as a family went to caucus last night....of course we were there to endorse and show our support of the BEST, MOST Qualified leader of House District 15B......Ralphie! This was a first time experience for both my husband and I. Great experience. Kids got a laugh out of some of the people who showed up.

How did the caucus go for the Best, Most Qualified leader in your opinion ?

What to you guys feed?

Is it gamebird breeder feed or maintenance that you are feeding ? If breeder it should be a complete ration and would be no need to supplement. My opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Just noticed it wasn’t a breeder mix... I will have to look for something different... They have an All Flock I might look at...

Good morning Sunshines.

I'm getting low on feed too. I had plans to run down to Brainerd. But we had about 1/2 inch of snow over night and being the willy-nilly I am about snowy roads....i"ve decided I can limp on what I have for a couple days until the roads clear. Go Friday or Saturday instead.

No -18 last night so I was able to let the birds out of the coop this morning into the run.

I wish I could have seen Ralphie Caucus.
I was just reading his mushroom thread last night. I'm hankering for spring and all that it entails with dirty fingers and birds on green grass.
I hope it is early this year.

Seems I have a predator living in the lean-to . Was out there and heard leaves rustling . Out walks a very mangy coyote or fox . Hard to say as it had very little hair . Going to have put it down first chance I get .

BC I have been taking that milk thistle . Had to quit . Guts got sore , gassy so looked up side effects . Bingo .

Oh shoot on the milk thistle. Were you seeing any improvement with the liver issues or too early to tell. Perhaps it would only help further damage. I wonder if beano with it would help.

Tried that and some ultra flora stuff .

So we have about 12-13 inches of snow on the ground . 6-8 more predicted from Thursday night through Friday or Saturday .

It is way too cold to snow up here in the Banana belt.
