Surviving Minnesota!

No Jerry I already found my husband. No need to go to Eel Pout any more.:lau

Went to Clearbrook to watch our girls play B.B. I felt so bad for the refs. Boy the opponents’ fans were rough and mouthy. We gave them run for the money I guess a little too close than than they like. Bad juju.

We are up to our keesters in snow.

Just gorgeous though.

Snow with blowing and drifting last night. Biggest snow removal project of the winter thus far. I am tired of shoveling. My wife has the plowing done and I sent her out to tidy up my paths to chicken and pigeon coops with snow blower. It is the first time this winter I have demanded she snow blow. I guess I may be getting soft in my old age. The fresh air and exercise is good for her.
Stringbean it is almost March now and we could have more of this weather before it is done. I would wait on chicks if it were me.

The birds enjoyed the dust bathing box today, they are all pretty dirty looking now

Today was day 22 so we emptied the hatcher with the exception of 3 birds that were just hatched. Will let them dry off and tomorrow move with their friends. I lost count at 26 so I decided to wait to sort and count until it warms up.

These guys are the first batch to use the fancy 3 tiered Tinners brooder. My husbands coworker was going to scrap it out.

The things on the left are actually feeders. Pretty cool invention.

Here is my path. I should have taken pictures in the daylight.

Lots of babies:love

I candled and 16 good and 3 maybes out of my 22 eggs and quite a few maybes from the eggs I got from you. I’m worried I did something during transit?

@MNChickMom i know these boys are getting really really beat up and their tails look like hades (one is actually still growing his VERY slowly) but which of these two do you like more? It’s hard to judge from these terrible pics but they are the best I could get. I know which one I prefer but thought I would get your opinion...

And this young guy is looking for a home... I have too many extra roosters and this is the only one I dont really need.. If I don’t find a home for him he will be visiting the instant pot which is just fine with me! He is going into a cage on corn this weekend if nobody has a use for him...
