Surviving Minnesota!

She could get a cat from the used cat salesman, I guarantee his will break into mouse catching pieces.

I hope the fox did not get my cats! I need them.

This Used Cat Salesman is quickly running out of used cats... Some of the wild ones managed to get some form of “lead poisoning” and all the tame ones are the adults we have left... But there is one Orange wild cat still that’d be easy catch... It’d make good fox bait?:lau

Thinking of starting my wildflower seeds . Branched coneflower , Greyheaded coneflower and the domestic Goldstrum daisy . Some for here and some for the lake . I like low maintenance flowers . Perhaps I can tempt BC with some starts . I am a enabler .
I’m going to have chickens, I have already accepted that flowers will not exist in my life now...and man I am not upset about not spending hours on a garden that lasts two months of the year!

Although I am curious to see what pops up at this house, we haven’t seen it outside of late fall & winter.

That is my viewpoint too... BUT certain other house members like flowers anyway, so I continue to waste valuable garden space on 'pretty stuff'.

I may try to fight the chickens to grow strawberries and whatnot outside of the vegetable garden. Thankfully my other family members value berries over pretty flowers. One instance where they don’t try to fight the things I want. :lau

But I need to learn what is and isn’t toxic too.

We have toxic plants all over and the birds don’t touch them. They know what they can and can’t eat. I don’t even pull them out of the run as the bees and butterfly’s like a lot of them...

Well that is good to know! I guess I’m too used to my bearded dragons eating anything, poisonous or not.

Plus I guess if one of the chickens is too stupid and eats something toxic...it’s just natural selection. As long as it isn’t one of my Brahmas.

The problem with them eating just anything is the real possibility of decreased frontal lobe activity.......e.g. special needs chicken....

This is the same way we got VWN'ers on the North American continent... just sayin

Gotta love chick pictures...
