Surviving Minnesota!

I se to have forgotten where I live. I took the heating element out of the waterer earlier this week when I filled it. I knew we were going to be a bit cool this week. I didn't plan on highs below freezing. When I thought of that this morning the waterer was 5 gals of ice. Whoops!

Sorry fowl friends. Hope you got some water yesterday.

As I previously reported, I anticipated this storm would play out to the W and S of my location. I feel bad for my friends in those locations which got dumped on and am happy it was not me.
A good friend who lives about 50 mi S of me told me last week he would not plow again this season. He got 12.8 inches of snow. His neighbor heard he was not going to plow and came over with his large tractor and plowed the drive which is over 100 yards long. Good to have such neighbors in rural Mn.

Another beautiful heifer calf this afternoon... Possible keeper... Her momma has beautiful rib shape and capacity yet not too large framed...

Two week old babies.... I can’t believe how much they have feathered out... They are looking great IMO...
