I think it was 24 this morning...

22°here this morning, a bit chilly.

I don't feel so bad then, it was 37 here. No wind, so not terrible.

We lost that hen back in July. This hen has been off by herself in nesting box or coop for last couple of days. She had had some blood on her head near her beak earlier this week. I had noticed some sparring. I had been watching her head and it was no longer bleeding. However, she's still been away from everyone in the coop. I picked her up and this is what I found
...I separated her from the others, but now what? Are they just picking at her? Is she egg bound? The one that died before, this is what her vent looked like when I found her dead.

I need help!! If you have a saturday..Like the day after tomorrow or next weekend...and want to take a nice autumn walk....

I have 10,000 flyers I need hung on doors. No experience required....

Just let me know, I will be eternally grateful and Judy will even buy lunch!

I could even let you have a free chicken if you want.....(with feathers and still alive even)

Not especially. Especially with the typo. So do I give up and harvest her? Any hope? What went wrong?

I haven't really cleaned her up much. Just soak her or wipe her with some water?

I’d soak her in the laundry sink. A very mild soap baby shampoo maybe. Tepid water. Lightly pat her dry. Then blow dry on low. I’d keep her away from the others, if your garage is not too cold that would be ok. Maybe get some blu coat to put on her back side.

Just wiped her up with a damp cloth. Lots of dried blood.
