It is colder than a witches mammary gland here this morning. Much colder than yesterday. This bitter winter weather does not want to let up.
Trying to decide what to do this Spring hatch, buy chicks buy some started birds ? Can't get enthused about hatching or having chicks when the weather is like it has been.

-24 here . Le brrr. I have not went to the coop yet. I suppose I best get down there. The girls will be in until noon today. Stupid less than 0 weather.

So funny! I know very little about ducks, but seriously, that title is a terrible thing that ought not to have been wasted. Someone should write that book properly.

We in western SD, central Black Hills are basking in 12 degrees of balminess. I so feel for you guys, but at the moment I’m really glad I’m here not there. My sympathies... collect eggs frequently if you love them.

Stepdaughter in Seattle is whining about 3-5” of snow and 20 degrees. People move to the west coast and just go all squishy.
