Surviving Minnesota!

Well only about 1 inch of snow . A good thing . Poor Ralphie no fishing . Go to Walker Friday . Ice fishing festival . Someone else will plow the lake . Take Judy along so the ladies know you are taken . A guy like you might be too tempting .;)

I am unable to attend on Friday, We have a funeral in Sauk Rapids to attend..... It is just as well I not be there. I get so tired of going to these social events and having to fight off the women. It has been the bane of my existence.

Now to more important items. Hoover drowned a rooster last night. I thought he would be far enough away, but alas he is not. The story I got from the survivors is Hoover flew in around midnight, opened the water barrels and forced the unnamed Dominique rooster into the tank. The covers were pushed off the tank and unto the floor. I know it was Hoover, no other explanation exists. I have been extremely careful to close all the barrels. This is a double set of barrels with a piece of plywood cut to cover both tanks. It is heavy enough that I never remove it I simply slide it and reach in with the buckets for water.

I remember closing this yesterday, just before I left. I made a round to make sure everything was secure. Then double checked the tanks.......Hoover will have a warrant out for him soon!

One chicken egg, 6 turkey eggs.......I have no idea what is going on, this is such a backwards year. I always have more chicken eggs than turkey eggs until the first of April. I received a call from a 4H kid (PB--Mnchickmom)....wanting more speckled sussex. I have none for him. I only have 5 SS chicks and one is a runt....(they live in the basement because of the weather,,,DO NOT INFORM THE WW,,,some things are better she not know).....

I forgot to tell you all, Ivie stopped by the other day. She is chickenless. She got rid of all hers. She may or may not get some more, She says it depends on the move to BC-land.....

She has tried to get on here but has forgotten her PW and is not getting a response to get it back. I found it interesting she misses the rooster more than the hens, she, like me enjoys to morning crowing.

Busy weekend for me. Yesterday I had to go to town and then Medora for a Ian's benefit, it was great to see so many people there. If his family does not get $100,000 out of it I would be suprised.
And then today dad and I went to a neighbors and we skinned and gutted a cow and the biggest dang steer I have ever and probably will ever see in my life

What kind of steer? Dairy?

Ahhh, Jerry! Be careful out there! Eek.

Well over 2 feet of snow on the lakes. Maybe thinner may be more depending on where the wind lets it rest. DS has a snap chat come through and our neighbor kid drilled a hole in the lake and push the snow past the hole with his truck plow. His hole started geysering and filling all the area with water. Just a little bit of weight on the ice. DH and DS promptly pulled off the ice house . Only a couple weeks left any ways.

Busy weeks. 7 basketball games in 10 days. Concession stand tonight.
Lots of reschedules after lovely weather here that cancelled some.

Birds are bored to death in their run. I offered a walk in the snow path- semi-tunnels but no takers.
Smart birds.

Hint as to where I am....
