Sunshine but 20 below

I went out to bring the girls feed inside because its too cold they don't want out yet, and I must have scared an owl off it's rabbit. The bunny wasn't frozen yet and had all it's parts intact. I can see the wing impressions in the sides of the path.

Erli that is really cool, we have plenty of owls out here but I have never seen that.

The Owl snow eagle print is amazing to see.

Looks like the rabbit tried to escape into this hole.

The wing marks show well in that picture. on the top of the "embankment". I looked for my owl wing pictures but could not find them.

I am guessing no Easter Bunny at your place this year...

There is another one hanging around, maybe it’ll be next. They eat seeds that have been flung out of bird feeders by blue jays.

You could set up a dead fall trap and capture the bunnies yourself and save on food bills!!
