Surviving Minnesota!

Keep it out there!!!

And you better listen to me this time!:old

Here are my younguns today...View attachment 1970036they followed me out at a little after 8 this morning...then realized they were stuck in a sea of white fluffy scary stuff.

They spent the whole day inside the area I had parked the van when the snow fell.

They turkey came to visit them around 3:30.

I had to chase them out of the area back to their pen...

I had to push each one, then they flew the 15 ft to safety...

They were not happy with me for making them leave the safe area...they squawked their protest as they flew.
:gig:lau:gig

DH had a package at the PO, so of course he just couldn’t wait... says the roads are awful. Freezing rain and low visibility. It’s kind of windy here at home but nothing like that. I finally got around to tarping the run. I would say chicken run, but it’s all turkeys now, plus a few scattered geese & ducks. I’m wishing I’d bought more tarps, but I’m not confident they’ll make it through the first storm and they’re not cheap... They’re now saying upwards of 15”. We were promised a miss, but nooooo. :barnie :rant

Every piece of ground here is icy, chickens were sliding around outside the coop this morning. Even the gravel road has thick ice on it. Brought the cows in so they can't get stuck across or in the creek during this storm.
My sister set the Wyandotte eggs today, she's pretty excited.

You’re still getting rain hasn’t turned to snow yet?!

What are the temps?

Ice was from last night and this morning. Temps are in the 20s. Just some dusting of snow, their predictions these last couple days have been changing a lot for totals. They're still forecasting around a foot now, compared to around noon when they were predicting about 20 inches

Good news, thank you! :fl
