Surviving Minnesota!

Not that I saw. G’ma was born in 1910. So late 1920s early 1930s is my best guess
So cool! We (my youngest daughter and I) ran across some really old photos that I don't remember ever having seen, while preparing for my mom's funeral. Also a box of letters from my dad to her, when they were courting and he was working on a combine crew after the War. So neat to have--don't know why--they just are.

I didn’t know there was a Kelly Farm in Houston County.

Is it the same guy Oliver Kelly that started the Grange order? There is a museum farm between Elk River and Anoka, but I have never been to it.

My daughter in law took some pictures yesterday, here are a few starting with “Chirpy”. He has a perpetually pissed look about him.

Be sure to look for negatives too. I have scanned many negatives to recover old lost pictures.

I think there might have been a lot of Kellys with farms and it seems the Irish are well to do farmers for some reason. :idunno
I've heard about the Museum farm. I believe they have a big hunting event and you can bring your dog to run retrieving contests and such. DH and I've always wanted to go to that.

All these years. Both sets of parents on farms and I could never find any chicken photos until the final clean up of the house this past weekend. And there she was....Grandma Florence with a massive flock around her. Woot! I got my Black and White heritage of photo of somebody tending to chickens.
Ralphie....The photo of you walking away in the bee suit and that rooster hot on your heels is one for Strombergs/Mann Lake. They've just merged you know and I bet they would love that photo. My Goodness! It is the essence of their merger. The photos are gorgeous! Also love the one with the field in yellow bloom and the bee keepers and hives. That's a great pic too. Looks like it was a great day in Orrock township. :love

Here is a picture of my 6 Doms. I have 24 eggs that were set yesterday as these guys are aging.

Nice looking birds.

Previously mentioned Dom rooster also really likes being a dad. Notice all those white spots on these backyard mixed chicks that hatched a week ago. Maybe one or two could be full Dom but otherwise they all hatched from white or green eggs so I know he is the daddy to most of this bunch!
