If you restock every spring, what do you do in the fall with the bees you have? I know - so many questions! But I (clearly) don’t know anything about bees or beekeeping. My bees died over winter. So I need new ones.

Some people kill their bees in the fall. I tried to over winter mine. One hive died in December. The other died in that three week sub-zero stretch in Feb.

These came in a box by truck from California.

Some are mailed.

The lifespan of a bee varies. Worker bees hatched this time of the year life about 7 weeks.

A queen can live several years.

Drones live about 3 months.

Morning . Had a DR appointment yesterday . So while I was in town I bought a new self-propelled lawn mower . Tired of fixing the old one . So the story of my illness continues . DR is going to try a different antibiotic but insurance needs to approve so we wait . So I got thinking and decided it is still inflamed . Daughter takes a anti-inflammatory pill but DR changed her to another one . So left over of the first one . So while I wait on what my DR ordered I thought what the heck I will try the anti . Gut feels much better today . Wonder why my DR never thought of this .

Did you call and let him know it’s helping? Maybe you could get a prescription for that one sooner. (I really hate that health care is dictated by insurance companies.)

Rainy 2 days here . Pelicans are on the river . Someone 1 1/2 hours north reported seeing a Flamingo . Never heard of that before . Must be lost or confused .

Someone near me has pet flamingos, according to a feed store. They were feeding them gamebird feed.
