Surviving Minnesota!

Morning . Had to spray some wasp nests yesterday . No stings . Tomato plants are healthy but it will be awhile before any are ripe . DW has not been sleeping well so she is grumpy .

My DH woke me up at 6 and said you're usually up by now. He wanted me to make coffee, like I always do. That made me grumpy.

I am here … extremely busy is all and none of it is exciting.
Well poo we need a story . Guess I will give it a try . While at the cabin DW told me I was right . So it must be true as she is never wrong . Wait if I was right that means she was wrong . Last week while mowing I ran over a snake . I think he went into the bagger . I did not see it when emptying the bagger but then I did not try to find it . As a teen I use to bale hay . Always hated seeing a bale coming with a snake wiggling in it .

I had a broody hen hatch a clutch of eggs yesterday, and this morning was able to count 9 chicks although one seems weak ? The chicks which hatched here earlier are doing well and growing like weeds. They have now abandoned the mama hen and travel on their own here there and every where. 5 pullets and 1 cockerel. I am hoping the new batch is mostly pullets, but it will take a day or two to tell. My flock of Wheaten Marans is growing.
