Looks like momma cow's udder is really full. Teats look really fat today over the monitor. She looks like she is walking to accommodate the large udder you know like waddling. I might run out and look in person when BIL gets back.

Ralphie and EJB have you put in your 2 cents on the breed focus on the home page? The chantecler.

I gave them 5 thumbs up on Ed and the girls are 10's.. They look better than Bo Derrick ever did!

I was interested to see the egg laying habits of the PCs as described in that thread. Small round eggs averaging only 3-4 a week?

Now that my treasure of a wife is talking of adding to the flock my mind is reeling with what breed(s) we could add haha

I would really like some brown leghorns since I saw them at Hoovers. They would Be good for eye candy but customers prefer the brown eggs over white. Might do a few anyways

I was always wondering if I kept one of Ole's sons as my EE rooster. I happen to stumble on a picture of Ole on the day I got him from EJB..

The other is my EE rooster. The tail is a dead giveaway! I am saying it's Oles!

Here is the egg I think the CP laid today.

EJB does this look like it is one of theirs? If it is they have a "different" shape from my other eggs, and I have been getting them for a week or so. I have just started getting this color/shape egg. I had 3 of them in 3 dozen I sold to a friend yesterday and I have 2 on my rack now.


I checked some egg I put in the fridge last week to make deviled eggs with ( I like the egg a little older for hard boiled). There are no eggs like this in it. I am thinking they are lay better than that review said. EJB did not have these birds on artificial light. I keep the in ICU for a week. So they have only had 2 weeks of light and started laying already. Not bad.

I'm trying to reference the size by the sheet of paper but struggling. Would you call it medium or???
