Surviving Minnesota!

The things I do for chickens, :gig
I just came, at oh dark 30, from standing in freezing cold, holding a light so the chickens could finish their what? Breakfast? Prebreakfast?

I went out to get the quart canning jar with the water left over from their supper. I set it down and forgot it. I didn't want it to break when it froze.

The chickens took advantage of the light and hopped down to refill their crops. Not-so-silly chickens. No so sure how silly it makes me. I sure felt silly.

i did save the jar, though, and the clean-up. It was only a third or so frozen.

Morning cloudy chilly day here . Yesterday was a painful day and today is somewhat better . We decided to not travel for Christmas . A 2 hour drive seems a bit much for me at this time . Therapy is going ok . Oh we have a new great granddaughter as of 11/30/21 . Saw a picture but who knows when we will see her in person . Named Ellie .
