Thankfully, my neighbor will do the chicken chores while we are gone. If she couldn't, we would probably be having chicken for dinner over Christmas.
I don't have any other good options.

It was a nice day here, think it got to 40. Everyone enjoyed it, except for Pokey
but the ground was still soft so we got his grave dug. Still waiting for the vet to get his appointment. He was a magnificent specimen in his day.

Just weird. Hail on tonight. It was heavier but by the time I started recording it was almost over and melting.

We had rain up here, and by 1:00 AM the snow had all melted. At 4:30 the rain had stopped and there were snow flurries with the ground white again. We have had some unusual weather, but unusual weather is in fact the norm here. This will likely end up being an extended and cold winter as most are. I would prefer more global warming!
