Surviving Minnesota!

I have been at my son's a lot this weekend.

The "other Grandpa" took a turn for the worse the other day. It saddens me to tell you he has passed. My Son and DIL have been spending a lot of time with him in the hospital.

I have been performing Grandpa duties. If you want to feel a heart string tug, just try explaining to a 4 year old why people die and have to go to heaven. I am hoping she remembers her other Grandpa when she is older. I even felt a little guilty as he laid dying I was enjoying snuggles and cuddles from our grand kids.

Not looking for condolences are anything, just letting you know we (we meaning DIL's family) can now start healing and getting a more normal life after 2 months of him being in the hospital. It will be different without him at family gatherings.
Sorry to hear that.

And Pekins. I love those cute little ducks! I hope I can find the geese a good home. There is no way I can sell them on craigslist. I dont want them to be eaten.

Planning the gardens, making a spring to-do list. Yes, I am anxious for the sun to shine and the air to warm. LOL. Love living in Minnesota.
This is funny as just last night i went through seeds and started figuring out what to start inside and when and all that fun stuff. A bit of warm weather in February makes one stir crazy a bit. Plus i live by Vartys Greenhouse and the lights have been on in the greenhouses which means she is growing plants. ha. :)

You need to upload it to Youtube then copy and paste the URL you get from youtube. I for one would really appreciate you uploading it.
It may take awhile to get to it . I have been painting my bedroom the last few days . There were 37 chicks so far . A few just pipped . Got to shampoo the carper and put the room back in order . Nothing in there right now . Got to clean and put the trim back up . I hate paint on wood trim . I installed the trim with trim screws just so I could remove it . About as quick as taping and removing tape . It has been 18 years since I built so time for some upgrades . Yeah I know way past time really .

NO NO NO NO NO NO..

If a piece of trim has not been off or not finished for 37 years you are well within the allotted time frame.. Any job worth finishing should be done in 40 years!

Barbers are becoming a thing of the past it seems. Or maybe just for us here on the Range. DH used to go to the one on 4th in Virginia. DH much prefers barbers than a salon. Must be the man time hanging out and BSing while waiting around for your turn.
