Surviving Minnesota!

Coming in to thaw! i have had the most productive day! plus with the sun shining, it isnt really that bad out. I winterized our lawnmowers and stored them, got my motorcycles moved to the shed (riding on snowy grass, even really slow, is quite an adventure), shelled an entire wagon (36"x48"x18") of field corn i picked this fall (the mice were getting into it, so i had to get it out of the wagon), hauled 2 cruddy old arm chairs from the shed out the burn pile! I only have a little more work to do and i should be able to park my truck in the garage by the end of the weekend!

Oh and of course i split a huge pile of logs :) i had a decent sized pile of just knots and crotch pieces that i couldnt split by hand that were like butter in the maw of my new splitter. once you get that thing going, you can really get carried away haha

The chickens are having a good time scratching through all the corn husks looking for missed bits of corn. it is nice to see them out and about enjoying the sun after a couple wet and crappy days.

I am afraid we may not be friends by the end of the weekend..... I hate people that can actually put a vehicle in a garage! I have all these sheds and buildings and mine have to sit outside. I have too many treasures inside them.. My BIL mentioned yesterday he would like to build another garage so he could have another building to not park his car in. ( He has more sheds than I do even!)

Do i gain any points back if my truck doesn't actually fit through the door? I bought this truck in february and it has never been in the garage. I THINK it will fit through, but it will be close. if it is too close it will be more work than it is worth to park it in there and I can end up just putting junk back in there :) I need a turn table so i can drive my snowmobile in there, then rotate it so i can drive it back out.... would be just as useful in the summer for my motorcycle.

No points for the truck not fitting, but if you make a redneck turntable for snowmobile and motorcycle you might get an officer spot!

However, I saw the truck sitting behind the splitter, just owning that is a few points
I would have to talk to Cyrus as Senior Bullhead killer he has a say in all the officer promotions.

I am so relieved!!! I just got a pm back from Aussigal. I got King George from her. When I have a bird I get from someone on here, I want to talk to them before I make soup out of them. In case they want it back. I do not want to hurt anyone's feelings over a bird. She said I should make soup out of him right now. I am thinking he is lucky I own him, I will give him more of a chance to reform than she would have.

It is amazing the girls can be so sweet and him not so much.

I am thinking I will inform King George tomorrow, unless things change drastically with his attitude, this is his last winter outside of the freezer.

ROFLMAO...

Woman's Directions:

Go that way until you go by 4 large trees, then just before you get to the 3rd Burma shave sign turn left until you get to the catholic church if you get to the Methodist church you have went too far.  Turn towards the red house,  go past the yellow house with the brown pick up in the yard, it will be the 4 place.

This true about us women and may I say I'm not ashamed when giving directions to my house that you need to take the road that has the bra and panties at the end posted on trees. Hang a left. Then go right at the green mail box.
Kids these days...

Ahhhhhh thank you so much! Hopefully I will retain that information. Yesterday I put the seasoned herb croutons that I bought somewhere. I wanted to stuff the turkey while my DH makes a side stuffing that gets cooked in a bowl. He does the toast and all that. Could not find those croutons! We both looked for them. Found them before we ate dinner just where we each had looked a couple of times. THEN came the bread crumbs I had made to be mixed with the fried onion rings for the top of the bean casserole. Finally found them in the refrig. It just does not work like it used to. There are good days where everything is clear as a bell. Look on the second shelf on the right side and you will find it. I prefer those days. LOL

Walk 3 steps to the stove. Turn left. Two steps to the fridge open. Look to the right of green bean casserole. Lol.

That statement demands more info.. I read it like 5 times and each time I said "Huh?" when done and started over.

Lol well we have some young folks that live down our road and I think some nights they are partying hot tubbing or whatever they stole some under wear here last winter and nailed it up to some trees in the woods. Near the end of our road. Looks a little bawdy down there a few miles down the road.
