This is the second time someone mentioned the barometer drop and the calf coming to me. If she waits until this weekend with the temps in the mid 20's I will dance a happy dance!! That beats -20 any way you slice it!!

I actually was out of town and as you might remember Ralphie, I am not one of the yuppie guppies with a cell phone that has internet so that means I cannot keep myself updated on all the chicken news going on. Bummer I know. A small sacrifice to make not keeping up with the times.

I hope you had a great trip out of town. You never stopped in and said "Hi".


I have no idea if there is anything to the barometer dropping and the birthing of the calves. I know when we were kids my Dad and Grandpa use to swear by it. BUT if you knew some of the horrible "home treatments" we were forced to endure as kids based on wives tales, you would doubt it too.

BTW I am cell phoneless! My poopy phone took a crap on me. We were driving home phone the dentist, and the phone just went "pop" and has not worked since. Nether of us were touching it when it went out.

Rhett, You didn't borrow my phone to make MoooCam did you? I didn't see any duct tape on it. I smelled it and licked it and didn't taste any foreign materials.

I do not trust the thermometers I have. My Girlie one is not here yet. SO I have a question. I am sure I knew the answer once.

What is the coolest temp I dare let hatching eggs drop too. when I move them from the incubator to the hatcher?

Vicodin does weird things to me. I dislocated my jaw about 8 years ago and was on it for about a month while my muscles recovered and I regained movement in my joints. It made me sleep a ton and have wild trippy dreams that usually involved me talking loudly and screaming in my sleep. My college roommate put up with a lot haha
