Surviving Minnesota!

My adult grandson showed up for the weekend to help me do a few things . We put chains on all 4 wheels of my tractor . Some cutting to shorten the big chains . My chains for my truck fit the front pretty good . About 6 inches extra that I fastened to the chain . I got the big set for $50 last fall . Made for the old Ford tractors . Yes I am cheap also or wait a bargain hunter sounds better .

We just candled the remaining eggs, About half have movement, I can see beaks moving inside the air sacs. Is that what is called internally pipped?

We did not hear any sounds but saw lots of movement. The one I should have thrown still looks bad. There is one more where the air sac looks too large for it to be viable, almost half the shell is air.

I am thinking I will get more tomorrow!

Good luck on the rest of your eggs/hatch!!

Productive day followed by a sunset snowshoe hike in the woods.

I'm trying to set a good example for all the southerners who don't know what to do with all this white stuff ;)
