unfortunately I'm headed to Rochester to find some supplies to work on my corn grinder and will be spending lunch time near the wicked witch of the south with DW. If you're still in town around one maybe we could get some coffee

I would like too, but I am down and right back today. I am not even telling the wicked witch I am going to be close. I am skipping seeing my BIL too because of tight time.

Good Morning Everyone. The sun shines again. Yea! I wanted to update my information about my Cackles order that I am willing to share if any of you would like to participate. The Wyandottes are black-laced goldens. I bet some of you wondered what red-laced wyandottes are.

Do you have any hatching eggs you want or are willing to sell? I'm picking up some bantam cochin eggs on Monday, and figure I should fill the bator up while I am at it.

I am happy to see the sun today and see the snow melting but darn if i wouldnt rather be watching the ground firm up and grass turn green instead! I have been working in my buildings today which is good enough. need to organize my tools and such. I am always running around the farm trying to find whichever tool i need so I am trying to sort. Wood tools in the wood shop, car tools in the garage, 1 set of common tools for the house , 1 set of common tools in a shoulder bag for repairs around the farm as needed.

I hate having to run for tools all the time! it ends today!

I got my new eggs!!

But alas I only have 10 Dom eggs. they are marked with"dom" on them. There is an 11th DOM egg but it has a slight dent in the pointy end. I covered it with fingernail hardener and let if dry. I will hope for the best and expect the worse on that one. Then the 12th egg is marked "BA" I assume it is Black Australorp and he simply got it into the wrong box. I got 12 Buckeye eggs all in excellent condition.

He is an interesting person as is his wife. She told me he had not missed exhibiting at the state fair in 65 years until the moratorium last year!

I hope the BA is a rooster! I could use a good BA rooster, I am pretty sure his is better than any of mine!

Now I am off to get the "new" used incubator.

I've never seen turkey eggs before, they are huge and speckled! how fun! I think i'm going to look up a custard recipe. love me some custard!

Good morning everyone! I have been so busy watching chick Tv with DW that i havent been keeping up! My girls are doing well and i swear you can watch the feathers sprouting on them if you sit still enough!
