Surviving Minnesota!

Roger is so lucky!!

He has such a great life. My rooster would love to change places with him.

I just meet Sleepyowl.. I am happy to report another BYC member is not a weirdo person we need fear! She is as normal as me!

Phew! Scrambled around here this a.m. so I could get outside. Figured I would begin the deep clean of the run and coop. that was about 10:30 a.m. Well, my garden is pretty much ready to plant. LOL. I needed to come in for some nourishment and liquids. Coffee time and then out to pick up what I cleaned up earlier. THEN i may get the front part of the run raked out.

Flock pretty much followed me around while I worked. Then they would go off on a walk-about and return a while later. Many times they sought me out and then started scratching and eating while I worked. Way cool. Now, since I am in the house, they were sitting on the back stoop waiting for me. DH probably would not like that because of the bird poo. I will go out and check the patio and sidewalks in a few more minutes.

Cute Ralphie! Grand kids are the best and that there are baby chicks at Grandma and Grandpa's house is the best.

Speckled Sussex and production Reds right kloppers? They are so fun in all their phases but chick fluff balls and laying pullet phases are the best to be certain.

The updates are so neat. I'm getting anxious for new stock.
Roger ripped out of the coop today and all six hens hopped up on the picnic table today. Sylvia came up to the house then bwaup-bwaupped back down to the coop in a swift paced egg waddle. No eggs yesterday. Today will be good I believe if Roger's randiness is tell tale.

Love all pics Ralph, BC and Klop! I am feeding of of your growing chick pictures. I dont think I willbraise any chicks this year. Only ducklings and maybe a pair of goslings. They r much more hardy than chicks so dont worry about them with broody's.

Normal enough to follow the old adage " normal people don't own ducks"......:lau

I think this is a Ralphie tale.
