Surviving Minnesota!

I have given up on the green plants and dirt part and fill it with something else which helps me to forget to get out the dirt and seeds and water and everyone is happy. No hardening off, just spend money to purchase them. LOL. Its retirement - you have to make choices of how to spend the $$$$$

I haven't bought vegetable plants in a long time. If you were to go to a farmers market to buy plant starts, how much would you pay for a well established tomato or bell pepper plant that is heirloom and grown organic?

I need to get to Running soon. I want to get some huge Walla Walla onion sets before they are gone. they go so fast..

I cannot believe I am a month behind on summer work already and it's just April Fools day.

Off the top of my head - up to $3.00 only because it is at the Farmers Market and I would NEVER purchase an established plant at a green house - too darn much. Maybe I would even go to 3.49 because its not 4.00 and just a little over 3.00 Am I too cheap?

Which Farmers Market do you go to and when? I have never bought plants at one. I always pay too much at the greenhouses.

It's going to be such a nice day today!! If only I didn't have track after school! Now I only get about 2 hours with the chickens

Well, Minneapolis seems to begin early enough to get the plants and into the ground. Otherwise I just check around for whats happening in the county. If its only Minneapolis I get gobs of stuff because it is a one-morning excursion. Gotta do the breakfast deal too. I will check on-line right now because you made me think of it.
