Surviving Minnesota!

Are you going to be home at 2pm?

I am trying to arrange a pick up with the men in the windowless van and the white suits for you.....

I know, right? Lol. Just wanting so many chickens already qualifies us as a bit crazy, so I might as well go all the way! ;)

heh heh

These are the red bell waters that I bought for five bucks for two

They are used but in very good shape I just will need to sanitize them real well I think

They even came with an adapter for a hose

What a great deal!

I'm going to use them to build a watering spot for out on the range. I have a 30 gallon drum that will be the reservoir that feed both of them the whole thing will be on wheels or skids with roof to act as shade

Hey ya'll! Beautiful sunny day here south of the Mason Dixson! Needed to take a break from cleaning coops. I'm being supervised by the Speckled Sussex and a few nosy turkeys.

Hoping to get a turkey update from Coffee over on the turkey thread.

Klop...how are your SS doing? They sure are cuties.

Sure enjoy reading about all your gardens. Sadly I have no sun. Just one patch large enough for a few tomatoes. Nothing better!

They are doing fantastic. Growing quickly and so cute! I will try and post some new pictures as they are growing bigger every day

Score! I have been eyeing those. It would make my chicken tractoring much easier if I didn't have to remove a 5 or 7 gallon fount every time I moved them. I was going to get one or two this year before the broilers arrive. Good for you!

And the field station idea is brilliant, too.

It's been a week since I was last on the thread! So many posts to go through LOL

I was wondering, for those of you with large stock like horses, sheep, or cattle, if any of you put goldfish or sucker fish in the stock tank to help with mosquito larvae and to keep debris cleaned up. And if you do, is it still OK to add a little ACV to the water? I like to add about 1T per gallon for all my animals' water. But not sure if that would adversely affect the fish, and google has not been helpful in clearing up that question. @holm25 @Rhetts and any others.

I will have to go through the threads later to get caught up. Hope all of you are doing well, and your flocks as well.

We use Ritchie waterers so water is always moving in and out of it. I dont think ACV in the water is a needed thing. If they hay good hay and clean water they will be fine and happy.
