Here is the Home-made Ice Cream recipe I used last night....Well except the Vanilla Bean part. I cannot find a Vanilla bean in this neck of the woods to save my life...but I have pure vanilla extract from Mexico. I substituted a tsp of Vanilla Extract for the 3 beans.

I have German, Norwegian and Swedish Ancestry. My sister did the blood test. Just as we've always known...but interesting to see the test.

Dad always said we were "Low German" LOL. Which can take on different meanings for sure. Always self deprecating we are. Hahaha....But generally meant low-lands or out of the mountain regions --probably Flat-landed Farming background. Plattdeutsch. And also I believe is language related. The speech is Netherlands (Dutch) with its roots.
Dad is Full-blooded German.

My mom is 3/4 Norwegian. 1/4 Swedish.

I've been so busy at work, I haven't been able to snap many pictures. Plus, they're both still mad at me since I won't let them out of their run. It's almost mean since the pond is right next to them.

Caesar hates my hubby - as soon as he sees him he starts hissing and his mohawk goes up. DH always tries to catch him, so I don't question why =) They'll come up to me when I'm in the run and have started following me around the fence. Looking for treats I'm sure! Caesar did, however, get some new girlfriends. Cleo is usually hanging with them.

OMG! I put a clump dirt in the brooder this morning they found a WORM!!! It was utter chaos for a few minutes and so comical!! I wasn't sure I should take it away because they were fighting over it! Stealing it from each other

They are beautiful!! Lol they never followed me so they must like you! The obe hen looks like a chocolate barred or rippled?

I had no idea there were such beautiful colors in muscovies! What do you call the brownish one?

Funny. Directed by a broody Momma out free ranging they'd probably do the same. No harm done..I'm sure. Worm chase IS HILARIOUS. Reminds me of Tackle Football a little bit.

I don't think worms will hurt them it is so funny to watch them, even when they're full grown
