Surviving Minnesota!

This has struck me as so funny!   It reminds me of all the people wanting to vote this year,  They hate Trump so they will not vote for him..or they hate Clinton so they will not vote for her.......

it is a binary choice, there is no third option.

The same is for your skunk,  there is not third choice. You have to decide which you want. to  smell, puke and be reminded of the skunk for 2 months, or drag his silly butt out of the yard and let him have a little misery.   Think of it as a saucer behind a snowmobile ride for  the skunk, without the snowmobile or the saucer.

Or I could just not trap it. It hasn't bothered the chickens and it has left us alone when I bring the chicken food in.

OK here is a story for you . While packing to leave Friday evening I noticed a low tire . So I aired it up and used the hose to check for leaks . Nothing . So I thought I will go to the river boat ramp and back into the water . Rear tire . Look out and no bubbles . So ok I take off shoes and get out to get a good look . Down I go back first . Alge coated ramp .. had grand son move truck no leak . So I strip down to just boxers and drive to Caseys for fix a flat to take along . So here I am a wet old man driving in my wet boxers ! did send the grandson in to buy .

Yeah Jerry I'm not sure about those mushrooms. I have the same in my yard. If there is a sliver of doubt do not eat. The chanterelles have the gills climbing up the stem. I'd need to see a gill shot.

Grandson is getting some good stories with grandpa! Lol

Skunks are one of those that questionably predate. They seem to like easy pickings. Food left in the feeder outside mostly. But I do not underestimate what they could do. Not to mention their nuisance smell and potential for interrupting one while walking to the coop. I do like the fact that the eat the cut worms (grubs) that reside in my lawns roots at certain times of the year. Skunks are good for keeping a health green lawn. I'll see rootled up spots in the lawn some mornings once or twice a year. So long as they do it from midnight to about 4 in the morning and leave my coop alone and move on.
