Surviving Minnesota!

Morning . Hey Ralphie you tried every taming method except the one I suggested . I really was serious . Penned up alone they should respond to the thrill they get and tame down . If that does not work then nothing will .

They are penned up alone. I have cardboard between them so they can not see each other. They can see a few other birds as they walk around the shed though.

I might have to break down and try your method. I was just out there and carried him around he did not peck me today, yet. But I had on leather gloves and a carhardt jacket.

Your method just seems so "wrong" but I have nothing to lose at this point. I might move him somewhere he can not see any birds. or put a "block" in front of his cage. If he is going to have companionship it will be me or nothing.

I will test the Stockholm Syndrome.

You were a teenager once . If that thrill does not get his attention and make him like you nothing will .

I really like the looks of this guy, I want to make him my breeder for the Dom's next year, but I do not want a coop full of butt head roosters.

Maybe I can get Judy to run his tail, she looks better than me anyways......

We are still floating in Benton County. I didn't look at the rain gauge this morning but judging by the puddles and the washed out gravel road...it was enough. We purchased 3 black angus steers on Sunday....just weened from their Mama's and boy do they miss their Mama's....they are now hoarse. Their average weight was 580 pounds, at that size all I have to say is "MAN UP"

Went over to our In town house at lunch to check on things. One tiny damp spot as usual in heavy rain, nothing a paper towel won't wipe up. 3 houses on our block had hoses pumping water from their basements. We have had the wettest year!

Fortunately this is the last time I have to worry about that house. We close tomorrow!! I can't wait to be done caring for 2 homes!

I do not know anyone by the name of Kopari, and I do know a lot of people. Some that don't even throw rocks when they see me coming. That is an unusual name have not heard it before.

For any on here that could use some wild rice for seed I know of a source. It is very reasonable at $200.00 per pound.

I would heed Jerry's advice if you wish to tame that rooster Ralphie. You want him to love the judge when he picks him up!

Congrats Klop. Finally! Down to one house - nice!
