Surviving Minnesota!

I am being lazy just working the net while listening to Pandora. I am a real Pandora enthusiast and Norman Brown is playing as I type this.

I am a Pandora fan as well. Easy to make good Stations with a few thumbs ups and downs. Seems like the ads are getting fewer and farther between lately which is nice.

I'm also a Pandora fan. I wish there was a way to add music to a station. I find that if I play, for example, Led Zeppelin Radio, I get a good percentage of music from the same era/genre. Not that I don't mind it, but sometimes I just want to hear some Led Zeppelin.

I also am a Pandora listener, however, their stock is down today, I am guessing that explains the seemingly lower number of ads.

Still waiting for a page number for the Spritz...Or are none of them in the SOP. I thought I had seen them in there. but at my age and senility I make errors.

A few pictures that I took the other day. I love this time of year!

Great pics! Wish the sun would shine here

Yeck... I don't even want to go outside for chores! Had thunderstorms and over an inch of rain last night. Just drizzly and gloomy today. Got my kid shipped off to school just before 7 am and the household chores done. Now just procrastinating before going out....

I stopped up at Hutch on Saturday afternoon to fill out my breed club report and say hi to a few people. I thought the show in itself was a lot smaller than other years. Layout was different so I was lost upon entering... Normally juniors are right up by the front door and bantam ducks over on left. They moved the sale section out of the duck barn and into main coliseum. Birds were gorgeous as normal and I saw lots of familiar faces. I went up with no plans of buying anything, but of course didn't escape without buying a pair of standard white cochins for my mom. I just might turn in an entry for the New Ulm show on Nov. 19-20th.

I would love to find a nice new breed to integrate with the flock. Something I could breed into a good dual purpose bird. I've heard good things about white rocks but the idea of white birds around here is an eagle buffet. I like my rainbows but they eat and eat and eat for what they lay.

I am wanting some of the Wheaten myself. Maybe we need to plant a seed with @jerryse

Jerry does not do Wheaten family . Old story . In the early days I supported light brown . Went well with silver . I lost to Wheaten . I still prefer the light brown hens . However I may have some Wheaten like bantams to share later . Not SOP . The EE bantams I bought had a wheaten type hen . I put her with a buff bantam cock . Buff has the wheaten gene .

My birds I had at Hutch are in quarantine and will be until the 19th of Nov. Which is so convenient, so they will be going to New Ulm. I called for a catalogue on Saturday, They are slow sending them out and said they would take late entries. I think I will bring most the birds I had in Hutch. . They might go without a bath though I am not crazy about giving them a bath in Mid November.

I hope to see you there. If my weird birds (fufu's) were not so young I would take a couple of them..

Looking at how long it takes to get to New Ulm. About 8 hours. Since it's the 19 of November I could use that as a birthday present. Not sure if I would bring some cochins' or just spectate..

Is your birthday the 19th of November?

Did you know all people that really count in this world were born on the 19th of November? I think everyone except 2 people born on that day were great and those two were famous crooks.

If you want a catalogue the number to call is :

507-210-5741 or 507-327-0806
