Surviving Minnesota!

Hope Holm is able to get Bambi's big brother. Ralphie, the cortisone shots have worked very well for me.
I am glad my parents were able to identify my ancestry, as I would not wish to pay for some test which I would seriously question the integrity of.
Of course if one is born in the 1800s it is a shorter trip back to the relatives homeland.

Good Luck Holm on the deer hunt. Hope you fill the freezer.
Venison Stew for us tonight as a matter of fact.

Ivie: Very interesting hearing other's lineage and such. Yours is so cool! German and Scandihoovian here like most of the Yahoos on here.

They wanted me to stay and shoot hoops also. Another way the whole school is conspiring to get me to join Basketball. I wouldn't have minded just shooting around but I had to catch the bus..

Well, finally did these two boys in. Not gonna feed them all winter long. Does anybody know anything about using their capes for fly fishing? How do I go about removing the feathers from the skin? Washing them? I'm clueless.

I loved these two ruffians. Just can't keep em all.

They leave the feathers on the skin You have to preserve the skin Salt and borax works . Remove any fat first . I tried duck for a friend . What a greasy mess . Chicken is not too bad . They really like the long feathers .

Well, stretched the skins on board, and doused them in Borax and salt, now letting them sit. Don't ask me what I'm doing, because I have no clue. That includes you, Ralphie.......

Good luck on your hunt, holm, we are praying for a successful, and safe hunting trip!

I let the cochins out for about 39 minutes this evening as I was taking care of sneaks and cleaning the cochins area. I went to go put them in. I grabbed the pullets first, and then the cockerels. When I out the black cockerel that @holm25 likes would not stop pecking the pullet with him, or my hand. He got reprimanded immediately especially after hanging onto my hand after pecking me. He was still being mean to her when I left, so I didn't lock their door fully so that if he gets to mean and one of them hits the door she can get out into the main coop
