Just another day in paradise

OMG, Hom. I LOVE this photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might have to have you send me some jpgs here. I'm thinking I want to frame some of your photography! My gosh, Kid!
I don't know if you did this one with your phone...? But if you did a super clear one with the 'fancy' camera I would so enjoy that. Love the composition of this. The Fence, hay and those cute Angus faces looking at you.

There you have it Holm! A nice Christmas Photo gift for BT. Tis the season.

I got a new phone. Apple SE. Don't need anymore than what it has to offer and probably would not use all that it offers anyway. Had to update to the phone from my 4S so that my new Apple Watch Series 1 64 bit will work. Want to track my activity and weather etc. Was looking at FitBits. But when the DH ordered all his snowmobile gear (got a snowmobile now) he asked me what I wanted and I had been looking at FitBits but the watches are so much better and with Black Friday sales - not much more than a Fit Bit, which was probably on sale somewhere also but I did not look.

So! I have the watch and it is linked and sinc ed to the phone. But now I am backing up my 4s to iCloud so that I can transfer the info to the SE and begin using the SE as my phone. The 4s is a good phone worth about $10. Anyone need a cute, good phone, Apple - for the shipping cost? You send the $$$ to ship it and I will wipe the phone clean and unblock it and send it to you. I have a cute girlie case - all sparkly - that you can have. Purchased that a month ago. I have no use for it. What say you? First come basis.

Here you go @KlopKlop This is the fence by the drive way. Just a Tpost and 2 insulators. Every 50-60 yards there is a big wood post. We have really nice gravel right here so don't cement these posts but if you dont have heavy gravel cement would be a good idea. These are the best inventions ever for fencing(after the fencing pliers). You can get them for like $5.00 a piece at L&M Fleet here. You use one for each strand of wire. So you only put them on one end of the wire and the other end of the wire is just attached to a circle insulator. If you want more pics I will get them!
Thanks for the details, this is essentially what I think I will do except with a few more strands lower and higher on the border since I am hoping to keep a mixed Flerd (flock and herd) and sheep need more protection. Field fence is good too but much more expensive.

In your heavy soil do you have much problems with heaving during spring thaw?

I can take the camera out and get a better one. Thanks! Maybe I should get some done at the Picture printing place and mail them to you!

So are you going to mix cattle and sheep? If so I have the perfect link for you from a cow forum!! It might be a little different than what you are planning on doing but its still informational. There is a person up by MO3PT Who runs cattle and sheep together and then runs Chicken tractors in there too. Its pretty cool. And then they have monster LGD's that NEVER EVER stray far from those animals.

One thing I have learned from taking picture of cows and chickens is that the darker the animal the harder it is to get the camera to focus! What I need is some sun and blue skies

I would assume we have some, but i havent seen boulders pushing up from the soil, so perhaps not too bad. i know heaving can have an impact on fence posts

Yeah the idea would be to run them mixed. Once they are integrated the cows will help protect the sheep from predators. i will check out your link!
